Here are some easy DIY home cleaning products and instructions on how to make them:

1. All-Purpose Cleaner: Mix 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water in a spray bottle. Add a few drops of essential oils (optional) for a fresh scent.

2. Glass Cleaner: Mix 1 cup water and 1 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray on windows and mirrors and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

3. Dish Soap: Mix 1 cup castile soap, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin, and 10-15 drops of essential oils (optional). Shake well before each use.

4. Bathroom Cleaner: Mix 1 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup liquid castile soap, and 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until it forms a paste. Apply to surfaces and scrub with a sponge or brush.

5. Carpet Cleaner: Mix 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup borax, and 1/4 cup salt. Sprinkle on carpets and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Vacuum up the mixture.

6. Wood Cleaner: Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil, and 10-15 drops of essential oils (optional) in a spray bottle. Spray on wood surfaces and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Note: Always test a small, inconspicuous area before using any homemade cleaning product on a larger surface.

  1. I like how this article focuses on simple DIY cleaning products that are easy to make at home. Using vinegar and baking soda is affordable and practical. Saving money on cleaning supplies really adds up over time. When people think about home budgets, they often forget how small savings help with bigger purchases, like furniture and bedding. Mattress prices can be high, so cutting costs on household cleaners makes sense. Clean carpets, fresh bedding, and a tidy bedroom help protect your mattress investment. Regular cleaning also helps extend mattress life by reducing dust and allergens. When mattress prices are already rising, taking care of what you own becomes more important. These DIY cleaners are a smart way to keep the home clean without spending too much.

  2. Making your own cleaning products is a practical way to keep the house clean while controlling the ingredients you use every day. I like that most of these recipes use simple items that many people already have at home. A clean home also helps protect furniture, carpets, and household essentials from dust and stains. Even items like a folding mattress need regular care because they are often stored away and used for guests or travel. Wiping storage areas, vacuuming fabric surfaces, and keeping everything dry can help extend their lifespan. Using homemade carpet cleaner and all-purpose cleaner regularly also helps create a fresher indoor environment. Small cleaning habits done consistently often make a bigger difference than deep cleaning only once in a while. Keeping every room organized makes the home feel more comfortable and welcoming for family and visitors.
